Dr. Murphy-Brown received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2006 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine located in Boston, MA. She was the recipient of the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Leadership. Following graduation, Dr. Murphy-Brown joined a general dentistry practice in the greater Boston area as an associate. She was awarded Associate of the Year in 2007 and was asked to become a partner. In addition to starting a new practice in South Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Murphy-Brown enjoyed teaching third and fourth year dental students on the clinic floor at Tufts Dental School. In 2009, Dr. Murphy-Brown decided to return home to Michigan to be closer to family. She practiced as an associate dentist in the Troy area before joining this family and cosmetic dental practice in 2010.
In 2010, Dr. Murphy-Brown completed the Synergy Training Program for Implant Dentistry. She attends several continuing education programs and conferences throughout the year, including an implant study club. Dr. Murphy-Brown believes that the dentist and patient should work as a team to achieve the esthetic and functional results necessary for a happy and healthy smile. Dental education and proper communication are the keys to that success.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Murphy-Brown received her B.A. from Albion College where she played volleyball for four years. She grew up in Port Huron, Michigan. She now lives in Lake Orion with her husband and their three children. In her free time she enjoys water skiing, downhill skiing, photography, gardening, traveling, and enjoying her time with family and friends.
Dr. Murphy-Brown maintains active membership with the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Oakland County Dental Society. In recognition of her professional contributions, Dr. Murphy-Brown has received HOUR Top Dentist Recognition 2012 through 2019, Top Doc Recognition 2019, Best of West Bloomfield for Cosmetic Dentistry 2019-2021, Women in Medicine Top Dentist of 2020 and recognized by The Leading Physicians of the World for 2020.
Dr. Stephen Hayden arrived in the Detroit area via New York and attended the University of Detroit Dental School. Teaching as a dental student he received the prestigious Leo Cardarette Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Dentistry.
Dr. Hayden met his wife, Linda, while studying at the dental school and is happy that his two children and three grandsons also live in the Detroit area. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hayden loves to travel, snow ski, golf, scuba dive, and just 'hang out' with friends and family.
With a focus on Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Hayden is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and Oakland County Dental Association. Dr. Hayden is also a lifetime member of the Vedder Crown and Bridge Society and Dr. Alan Simons Implant Study Group. Dr. Hayden has received HOUR Top Dentist Recognition 2012 through 2019.
Dr. Jasmine Yousif received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2021 from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry located in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Yousif attended Andover High School, received her B.S. from the University of Michigan and her M.S. from Wayne State University.
Dr. Yousif loves to learn and is committed to providing the highest quality of care for her patients. She is very excited to meet her new patients and work alongside Dr. Katharine Murphy-Brown.
Dr. Yousif has been a lifelong resident of West Bloomfield, MI. She enjoys being outdoors, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Yousif recently got engaged and plans to get married next year!
